Berry Bowl

This kitchen bowl, designed for berries, replaces the usual colander. In the center, a ribbed, perforated dome allows water to drain through, while the holes in the rim and a small tube on the side guide the flow: strawberries, blueberries, and other berries remain dry, without sitting in standing water. Delicate berries are no longer jostled as they would be in a traditional colander, and you can prepare a small quantity without having to bring out a large utensil. Made of ceramic coated with a uniquely iridescent glaze, it’s much more pleasing to the eye than a plastic colander and takes its place on the table as a true decorative piece. Its compact size makes it easy to store, and cleaning is a breeze. It’s just as useful for rinsing berries in the sink before serving, preparing fresh fruit for daily use, draining fruit before breakfast or an afternoon snack, as it is for displaying them on the table, countertop, or a wooden tray. It fits seamlessly into a natural or rustic-style kitchen and makes a much-appreciated decorative gift, such as for a housewarming party. It comes in eight colors.
