Self-drilling anchors

Designed for hanging items without having to use a drill, these self-tapping anchors screw directly into the wall: the sharp, conical tip cuts into the material, and then the ribbed body—notched on both sides—locks into place. As you tighten the screw, the anchor splits into two prongs behind the plate and grips firmly where a plastic anchor often ends up failing. The result: just one tool—a screwdriver or power screwdriver—no drilling noise, no dust, and no big hole to fill. The rated load capacity is up to 30 kg, depending on the surface and the quality of the installation, which provides peace of mind when hanging a heavy object on a fragile partition. Made of zinc-plated carbon steel and protected against corrosion, each anchor comes with a countersunk Phillips-head screw with a deep thread. The compact 12 x 30 mm size is suitable for various thicknesses of drywall, as well as lightweight brick. Installation is quick, and so is removal: only a discreet 1- to 2-mm mark remains.
